Following the release of the iPhone 5 last September, fans and users alike immediately began speculating about the iPhone 5s. Now after almost a year of waiting, Apple users are getting a closer look at what the 5s might look like. Unfortunately for us, it looks much the same as the 5, which too many still resembles an iPhone 4.

Thanks to a leak from an iPhone manufacturer located in China, we can all but assume the iPhone 5s will look the same as its predecessor; however, it may be getting some upgraded hardware. According to the Chinese tech website which broke the news, the iPhone 5s is speculated to have a "4-inch IGZO display panel with an 1136 x 640-pixel resolution." This is the same size screen and resolution the current one has and contradicts varying reports of larger iPhone screens under production.

However, the site has also reported that the new 5s may be getting a 12-megapixel camera with 2GB of RAM. This would definitely be a step up from the current iPhone 5, which boasts a modest 8-megapixel camera, and 1GB of RAM. In addition, there is speculation that Apple could be introducing a new "Mogul" feature: effectively allowing the 5s to capture images at a staggering 120 frames per second.

Nevertheless, it seems that techies and Apple aficionados alike may not be too keen on the 5s if it fails to drastically upgrade anything else about the device. With speculation over a larger iPhone still very fresh, and calls for an improved hard drive, Apple may release the 5s, only to quickly turn around and release the iPhone 6 by winter.

To complicate matters more, rumors about an iPhone 5c have been floating around the internet for months now. According to the chatter, the 5c will likely be made from plastic, a cheaper substitute to the shatter-prone glass encasing Apple currently employs. In addition, there is encouraging evidence that the 5c may be released in multiple colors outside of Apple's standard black or white.
